Humans (us) live behind polite faces and constantly live in the past or future. We are either worrying about what we did in the past or what the future will hold for us. We live behind political barriers and polite faces so others rarely see who we really are.
Horses on the other hand live entirely in the moment and have no need to hide behind any political barriers or polite faces.
Horses give instant feedback to the handler on how they are performing as their leader. They are a mirror image with a no holds barred reaction to how you lead and work with them.
They instantly respond to what you do, think and feel. This has huge implications for keeping yourself safe when you work with your horses.
In my Book Ride Your Horse with Your Mind I write about this and other internal characteristics that play a big part in your success with your horse. I’m offering it for free here on my blog site and on Rail and Pattern Horse facebook fan page.
There are nuggets of information in this book that will help you in your journey of improving your skills with horses.
