A Western Pleasure horse should be what the name emphasizes, a pleasure to ride. He should exhibit a free flowing stride with self carriage, smooth gaits and transitions.

A pleasure horse should be a happy horse and a natural
horse. Emphasis shall be placed on good movers, manners, and attitude, as reflected in the horse’s ears, mouth, tail and way of going.

This video is an example of a Western Pleasure Horse. This is an American Quarter Horse Pleasure Class at the 2008 Reichart Celebration. Specifically the horse is a mare sired by One Hot Krymsun. ( Krymsun and Good shown by Professional Trainer Mike Davis.
